Polish Society of Physiotherapy in Poland: local rules – global operation.Tim
The issue of physiotherapy in the 21st century is not limited to the essence of the patient’s health, but also covers a wide range of organisational and legal issues related to rehabilitation in Poland. Private physiotherapy practice needs to implement clear rules, standards and real solutions. Dialogue with the Ministry of Health is ongoing to support private activities. We face challenges that can be realised in a short time, and taking action to heal the entire system requires a profound change and a longer strategy that can be jointly implemented through the self-government structures established for this purpose. For three years, the profession of a physiotherapist is a regulated profession, and for two years there is a professional self-government, whose role is to support the activities of all physiotherapists, according to the principle of ethics created by the Polish Society of Physiotherapy, and implemented by the National Chamber of Physiotherapists: “Relations between physiotherapists are based on mutual respect and social awareness of the rank of the profession. The physiotherapist has the right to expect cooperation and professional assistance from other physiotherapists.” International Private Physiotherapy Practice is and may be the support and foundation of the promotion of common standards, the best standards.
